Any middle or high school student with a Pasco County Library Card may be part of the Teen Advisory Board

OR you could just volunteer !

 

 What Is The Teen Advisory Board — TAB ?

 Members of the Teen Advisory Board (TAB) meet twice a month at all library branches to:

  • Suggest and plan programs and select material purchases for middle and high school students (ages 11-18)

  • Assist in fundraising

  • Advise the library on ways to meet the needs of today’s teens

  • Learn about additional volunteer opportunities

 

What Do Teen Volunteers Do?

Teen volunteers are asked to commit to at least two (2) hours per week. You may be asked to:

  • Shelve books

  • Help keep the Youth Services Department in order

  • Help a librarian prepare props or crafts for preschool or children’s programs

  • Work on projects assigned by the librarians

  • Assist with teens and teen programs and special events AND, if you’re in TAB, you get an additional one (1) hour of service per meeting !

 

Did You Know?

  • Teen volunteers can use their volunteer hours for Bright Futures or other scholarships or as work experience on job applications  

  • Teen volunteers can earn service points for clubs or honor societies 

  • Note: Court-ordered community service hours may be granted at the sole discretion of individual library branch managers. Contact your local branch for additional information.
