Story Strong- June

First Reading Session for June (6/1/21):

This reading program will focus on delving into stories that focus on empowerment and fostering a better community as we work through topics associated with Career Education & Development. We'll be reading—Educated: A Memoir by Tara Westover—and joining an interactive online discussion with others.

First Instructional Session for June (6/8/21):

This group session will focus on learning skills related to Career Education & Development. Join us for this session as we have a guest speaker go over important information related to succeeding and thriving as a first-generation college student. This recorded session will be available to all Story Strong participants at the Story Strong YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCmf2Zz30xSY53N11S-FRZ6A.

Second Reading Session for June (6/15/21):

This reading program will focus on delving into stories that focus on empowerment and fostering a better community as we work through topics associated with Career Education & Development. We'll be reading—How to Write a KILLER LinkedIn Profile... And 18 Mistakes to Avoid: Updated for 2020 by Brenda Bernstein—and joining an interactive online discussion with others. 

Second Instructional Session for June (6/22/21):

This group session will focus on fostering skills and understanding different topics related to dealing with Career Education & Development. Join us for this session as work through how to create an account on Indeed.com and begin applying for Jobs. This recorded session will be available to all Story Strong participants at the Story Strong YouTube

 For FY2020-21, 74% of the total costs for the Libraries Build Communities/Story Strong program ($160,233) is supported by federal money; 26% of this program ($55,581) is supported by state money; 0% of this program ($0) is supported by local money; 0% of this program ($0) is supported by other money. The total budget of the project is $215,814.
