Disney’s Fairytale Inspirations: presented by USF Libraries
Thursday, June 12 • 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Join us for a captivating look at Walt Disney’s animated fairy tale adaptations and how they differ from the original stories – it’s a tale as old as time! Presenter Stephanie Mackin, archives librarian at USF Tampa, will present how these reinterpretations have influenced pop culture while exploring the art and literature that brought these fairy tales to life. Rare books from the USF Libraries Children’s and Young Adult Literature collections and original Disney artwork from their Mahan collection of American Humor and Cartoon art will be featured.
This program is intended for audiences ages 16+. Seating is limited to first come, first served.
