About
The Friends of the Pasco County Library System, Inc. is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3), organization of people who share a belief that a strong public library is essential for a thriving and successful community. There are eight branch-specific Friends groups that operate independently, but also collaborate to contribute to the overall success and financial stability of the Friends of the Pasco County Library System, Inc. (countywide Friends organization). These groups work together to enrich the resources of all the Pasco County libraries for the benefit of all Pasco citizens through fundraising, volunteering, and advocacy efforts.
The Friends organization fosters closer relations between the libraries and citizens of Pasco County and works to help facilitate a strong relationship between the Pasco County Board of County Commissioners and the Friends of the Pasco County Library System, Inc.
The Friends organization makes many of the cultural, art, music, storytime, summer reading, and technology programs of the Pasco Library System possible by providing funding not met through traditional county support. Many of our popular programs are made possible through the support of the Friends of the Library.
Becoming a Friend of the Library is your best way to show that the public library is important to you, your family and your community. If you’d like more information on becoming a Friend of the Library, please contact your local library branch.
