Makerspace Volunteer

Volunteer ProgramGrowing Stronger Together 

Position Overview and Impact:

The makerspace volunteer provides equipment support, and assists patrons with projects, 3D printer, wood working, sewing, soldering, and more, under the supervision of a library staff member. Makerspace volunteers may also submit proposals to provide programming (classes) within the makerspace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist patrons in makerspace area

  • Assist patrons with 3D printing

  • Assist patrons with various machinery and tools

  • Assist with cleaning and organizing of space

  • Attend training session(s) by library staff to gain necessary skills


  • Minimum Age: 18

  • Familiarity with technology and various tools

  • Ability to work independently and under direction of library staff

  • Ability to work and communicate with a diverse group of people

Training and support provided:

      * Orientation, training and mentoring is provided

Time Commitment:

      * Flexible
